The TTAEE in partnership with Soroptimist (Trinidad) submitted an application to Digicel Group EPIC grant and were successful!! We're moving full speed ahead with our proposed project, where we will be installing a Solar Powered Hydroponic System for Asja Girls Secondary School.
The TTAEE hosted our 2023 5k run for energy efficiency with great success! With more than 150 participants world wide and in person, we were able to spread awareness of renewable energy and energy efficiency best practices and industry trends!
The TTAEE Board of Directors was present at the AEE World Energy Conference (Atlanta, GA) in 2022. Our local Chapter was awarded best community service globally!

Our secondary school Essay competition has come to an end with first place going to Aliciann Kanhai, second place to Aliya McClean and third place to Haeley Parbhoo.
We wish to thank all other contestants for their participation and look forward to continuously developing our next generation of youth that will lead the energy transition!
The T&T chapter met with executives of AEE in Atlanta to officialize the local chapter and discuss other potential synergies to promote the AEE agenda.
We look forward to working with AEE to increase the technical foundation of energy professional regionally; this positions our workforce to resolve complex energy issues.
Directors and members of the TTAEE and others convened for a youth consultation workshop at the HYATT Regency Hotel on the 21st of June to offer technical support for the update of the National Climate Change Policy of Trinidad and Tobago. ⠀

As the TTAEE continues to promote engineering in sustainable practices, we fully support the Ministry of Planning in these initiatives as they update this policy and continue their agenda.
