What Does a CEM® Do?

An individual who specializes in optimizing the energy performance of facilities, buildings, or industrial plants is known as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM ®). 


The role of a CEM®  involves integrating various systems including electrical, mechanical, process, and building infrastructure to analyze and develop cost-effective solutions that reduce energy consumption. 


CEMs are often leaders of teams and assist in the development and implementation of their organization's energy management strategies. In recent years, CEMs have gained recognition within the energy industry and by companies who prioritize responsible energy strategies and sustainable operational practices to strengthen their competitive position.
